Safety & Care
BEFORE EACH USE
- Use only in a flat, clear training area free of rocks, holes, equipment, water, and other hazards.
- Place the slide approximately 2 feet before the base so the athlete has room to finish the slide and reach the base.
- Make sure the slide lies flat. If ends are curled back roll the opposite way.
- Inspect and reposition it as needed after each attempt.
- Adult or coach supervision is recommended.
IMPORTANT FOOTWEAR GUIDANCE
- Socks are the preferred footwear whenever appropriate for the training surface.
- Athletic shoes and molded plastic cleats have been tested with the Rah Rah Perfect Slide, and only minimal wear has been observed during testing. However, all footwear may cause scratching, scuffing, punctures, dents, edge wear, or other
product damage.
- Metal cleats, athletic spikes, exposed metal, and any other sharp or abrasive footwear are strictly prohibited.
- Socks remain the recommended and ideal training footwear.
- Damage associated with shoes or cleats, including scratches, punctures, dents, cuts, gouges, surface wear, or edge damage, is considered use related damage and is not a manufacturing defect.
HOW TO SLIDE (A proper slide is as pictured, bottom down)
- Approach the slide under control.
- Begin your slide before reaching the closest edge
- Extend one leg forward and bend the other leg underneath it, forming a “4” shape with your legs.
- Keep your hands raised and away from the ground.
- Tuck your Chin slightly, this will prevent you from tipping backwards and sliding on your back.
- Slide through the center of the product toward the base.
- Begin slowly and increase speed only as proper technique and confidence improve.
PRO TIP!!!
- If the slide bunches or shifts, use
it as feedback on technique. This means the athlete is sitting too upright,
landing on a knee or shin instead of the backside or allowing the extended foot
to catch rather than glide.
- Correct the athletes form and the athlete will glide right to the base every time and make a Perfect Slide!
Where to Use
- Use on grass, field dirt, or artificial turf.
- Some movement may occur, especially
on turf or firm dirt. Check and reposition the slide after every attempt.
- You can secure the mat on turf with tape, however residue build up may occur. If the mat is a stationary piece in your training facility this application may benefit your application, simlar to how pitching mats are often secured.
- Human assistance can also help secure the Perfect slide on firmer turf surface.
- Do not use on concrete, asphalt, gravel, wet surfaces, or uneven ground.
Storage, Cleaning & Care
- Roll loosely with the printed
surface facing outward and secure with the included strap.
- Store indoors in a cool, dry area at normal room temperature, approximately 70°F.
- For best results, roll the Rah Rah
Perfect Slide to approximately 8"–10" in diameter. When stored this way, the slide will lay flat when unrolled and ready for use.
- Do not fold, crease, crush, or place heavy objects on the slide.
- Do not leave it in a hot area or subject to prolonged direct sunlight
PRO TIP!!!
- If, for some reason, the Perfect Slide is left in a non climate controlled environment, (C’mon, you’re human), simply lay it flat in a climate controlled area for approximately 24 hours. The Perfect Slide will relax and conform back to the flat surface.
- For more immediate use, you may need to back roll the Perfect Slide slightly to remove the memory from the ends.
